*You must complete Identity Verification to access Spot Trading.
What is a Limit Order?
A limit order is an order that you place at a specified price, and the trade won't be executed until the market price reaches your specified price (or even better). You can place a limit order to buy at a lower price or sell at a higher price than the current market price.
Therefore, there is no guarantee that your limit order will be filled. If the market price never reaches your limit price, your order will remain unfilled on the order book, and you can view or cancel it under the Open Orders.
What is a Market Order?
A market order is an order to instantly trade at the current best available price. The trade is executed based on the liquidity condition (the limit orders on the order book). The exchange will match a buy order to the lowest ask price on the order book, while a sell order will be matched with the highest bid price on the order book.
